BuildIT is exceptionally proud to announce that one of its Founders, Andrew Yoshimura, has been appointed by the San Diego Community College District's (SDCCD) Trustees to serve on its Advisory Council. "I'm looking forward to being a part of this council and representing the community, particularly in ways that can impact workforce development in the architecture, engineering, and construction trades," said Yoshimura.
The mission of the SDCCD's Trustee Advisory Council is to facilitate communication among community members, Board members, and educators. The function of the Trustee Advisory Council is advisory, to assist in the achievement of greater understanding and communication.
The purpose of the Trustee Advisory Council is twofold: (1) to advise the Board on community attitudes, opportunities, and needs; and (2) to advise Board members on whether the programs are meeting the needs of the San Diego community.
Andrew is the Founder and CEO of Logic, a San Diego-based Program/Project Management and Project Controls firm specializing in utilities, transportation, higher education, and life sciences sectors. Logic, a certified minority- and LGBT-owned small business, is dedicated to supporting critical infrastructure projects that drive economic growth and serve the needs of local communities.
With extensive program management experience, Andrew has worked on key initiatives for major corporations such as San Diego Gas & Electric and Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). His leadership focuses on program management of complex operations and workforce development. Andrew has been recognized as a Top 40 LGBTQ Leader of Influence by the San Diego Business Journal.
